Hey, 215...
Or I could tempt them if I told them that a sizable donation would be made.

Dateline Precursor: CBS 60 Min. w/Leslie Stahl
by Room 215 inhow many of you out there remember the cbs 60 minutes program several years ago when correspondent leslie stahl examined the jw child custody issues?
it may well have provided a clue as to how the upcoming dateline segement will play out.
predictably, the society emerged with something of a black eye, especially because of its cowardly refusal to produce even one gb or bethel bigshot spokesman to defend its duplicitous policies.

Good point, 215!
Made me think about how Jesus was approachable and humble and the WTS always suggests that elder's be approachable and humble.
Jesus face was also well know among the people in his time.
Should not the GB be the same way? Didn't Jesus defend the truth?Try this one day: Write a letter to the GB and invite them over to your house for a meal or, even better, tell them you'll visit Bethel and you'd like to get together with them to meet them and share a meal together. You'll see how "apporachable" they are!
Sorry for ranting. I probably sound like the Unabomber and his Manifesto! LOL!

The "barf" Bethel visit
by Yadira Angelini inmy jw daughter came over monday to tell me all about her visit to bethel!.
first, she said how happy she felt and so very emotional when they took them, (a group of 8) to where the "twelve goberning body" held their meetings.
she said: "mom, i got to see where they sit!".

Honeymoon ideas anyone?
by Billygoat incan any of you married folks recommend a spot for an inexpensive honeymoon?
this would be at the mid-end of october.
we'd like to stay away from places where hurricane season might not make for honeymoon fun.

I don't know about inexpensive but I've been to Bahamas, Cancun, and Bermuda (for Bermuda, we did a cruise) and Bermuda was by far the best of the three.
I also heard that the Florida Keys are nice. -

Silly side point:
The DVD or book for sale that appears at the start of your thread (anyone's thread) changes every time you open the thread or when you refresh your Browser.
For example, 'Training Day' was being offered when I read your thread.

I feed the squirrel's near my apartment building.
One comes right up to my feet as I exit my car.
Another one jumps on the hood of my car. I think he's posessed.I, however, do not feed the Trolls.

Sorry to be the rainer of this parade BUT this is a hoax.
It's also been floating around the net for years.
However, the recipe may still create a delicious cookie (I'm not sure, though).http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/expensivecookie.htm
The Truth: This is one of the classic urban legends. It has circulated for decades and various versions have named different restaurants and hotels, although one of the most common versions says it happened at Neiman-Marcus.

Instead of talking about "university degrees", have you considered sticking to Junior High School?
That's where they teach you how to spell properly.
(And, so as not to confuse you, that's spell properly NOT spell the WORD 'properly').I live in a shack and I poop in an outhouse.

Rev-
It's cool that you posted that here.
Anyone who has ever watched Dateline knows that they try to film things on the sneak tip.The GB and all their lawyers are not so stupid as to think or assume that Bill Bowen and Dateline wouldn't try to sneak some cameras in.
Come on, target. Don't you think that the WTS already thought of that?
Do you really think that they read this post and said, "Gee! I'm glad revjohnson posted that idea. Otherwise, we would've never thought about it..."Chill out...It will all work out.
